Communicating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Lessons Learned from The Elephant in The Room
Description In fall 2020, Pitch Publicity and INICIVOX® produced a six-part virtual seminar series called, “Identifying The Elephant In The Room: Critical Communication Strategies in the Face of Racism” that won the 2021 Best Diversity & Inclusion Campaign award from PR News.
In this workshop, attendees will learn from top communications professionals across six different industries including: sports, politics, entertainment, fashion and beauty, health care, and news media, on how to communicate with diverse audiences and create a more inclusive and supportive work environment.
Brainstorm with industry peers and take away tangible next steps to create a workplace to be proud of by examining topics ranging from hiring diverse candidates, mentorship, professionalism, inappropriate situations, unconscious bias, lived experiences, identifying tokenism, becoming an ally, and using appropriate descriptors for different identities.
