Dr. Mansour Samadpour and Dalia Alfi founded IEH Laboratories and Consulting Group in 2001, following years of work in public health and environmental microbiology, as well as the epidemiology of foodborne outbreaks. The motivation for starting their company came from the realization that it is far more productive to work with food companies to enhance and monitor their food safety programs and prevent outbreaks, than to wait for crises to happen and try to detect them after they have occurred. Having their own company allowed them to prevent and respond more effectively to foodborne outbreaks, meet industry needs and move the field of food safety forward.
