Independent Chemical Corporation was founded in 1948, by Benjamin Spielman to support the burgeoning textile processing industries in the New York & New Jersey metropolitan areas. Today, as the industry grows even more and expands in new directions, Independent Chemical, is positioned to manufacture and distribute an ever expanding range of products to support customers that include the world’s most sought after consumer and industrial brand names, in such product areas as nutrition, cosmetics, seafood and meat processing, baking, graphic arts, environmental services, and more. At Independent Chemical, we partner with our customers to create the services needed – whether in custom packaging, particle sizing, custom synthesis, or stocking at locations in the US or Internationally. We work as an extension for many of the world’s best manufacturers to package and warehouse their products and to provide “just-in-time” delivery to end users, both via our fleet of tankers and van trailers and contract carriers. Depending on the grade and type, we can offer products from railcar quantity down to 20-liter pails, and sometimes smaller. We strategically store products across the entire United States & Canada. Independent Chemical Corporation now employs more than 45 dedicated associates in sales and office and warehouse capacities. We are a proud member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, and support the Responsible Distribution Process to insure safe handling of our products. Our Glendale, NY facility is ISO-9001-2015 certified, meets cGMP, and is monitored by and complies with regulations of the U.S. food & Drug Agency, , U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, New York State Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the US Drug Enforcement Agency. Regular inspections by the American Institute of Baking insures conformance with the standards and requirements of the food processing industries. Lastly, Independent Chemical is a proud sponsor of the New York Hall of Science, our region’s pre-eminent science museum for children.
